Fire Suppressor Blanket Sizes:

[ST] Standard-sized EV blanket (approx 20’ x 25’ / 6.1 m x 7.6 m) fits most automobiles, including most crossover SUVs and warehouse forklifts.
[XL] X-Large EV blanket (approx 25’ x 33’ / 7.6 m x 10.1 m) fits most full-sized SUVs, trucks, and large forklifts as well as other large battery-operated equipment.
[XLE] X-Large Extended EV blanket (approx 25’ x 38’ / 7.6 m x 11.6 m) fits most oversized SUVs and trucks.
[2XL] 2X-Large EV blanket (approx 35’ x 52’ / 10.7 m x 15.9 m) fits most commercial vans.

Note: When choosing which blanket to use, we suggest having roughly 3 feet / 0.9 m of ground seal all the way around the vehicle.

Multiple Uses? The EV Fire Suppressor Blanket is designated for single use only. Other brands may claim “multiple uses,” but then fail to address the decontamination aspect. Once used, a blanket is saturated with toxins and heavy metals. Another issue is coating burn off, which happens with direct flame contact. The blanket is forever changed and cannot claim to be as effective as it was when new. Who is qualified, outside of a lab, to quantify the damage to a blanket, fire after fire, with confidence it will be effective during the next incident? With those thoughts in mind, we recommend you not spend the extra money on a "multi-use" option. (We've actually been told that the majority of the multi-use blankets sold by our competitors are discarded after the first use due to the reasons mentioned and also due to the difficulty of repacking them —especially when wet). Additionally, the article linked below states "We've already had a situation in Victoria where two firefighters suffered cobalt poisoning after attending an EV fire, and have now been permanently disabled as a result." We cannot fathom why anyone would want to risk this, especially considering that vehicle owners' insurance companies are being billed for the Fire Department replacement blankets.
